The Bridal Show!

Saturday was a blast! We went to our first bridal show in Raleigh and learned so much. I think the best part was getting to try all of the different cakes and yummy treats everyone was handing out. We are very excited to spice things up with some of the beautiful table settings we saw. There was a lot of good information about different companies to use and we can't wait to get to work with some of these people. They are so creative!

The two pictures above are our favorites. One is very rustic and would be great for a fall wedding set up. The warm colors are very soothing. The other one is bright and fun and would be perfect for an outdoor event in the spring.

All in all, this event was a big hit and we can't wait to use these new resources in the coming year.

In the works at MEZ...

I heard recently on Oprah (yes, Oprah) that Raleigh/Durham has one of the highest single rates in the country right now.  That got me thinking and as I walked through Mez's dining room at lunch today, I started to wonder how many of the professionals around me were single?  Now, this is still in the works and we will have to get our website up to speed, but it's a start, right?

I think it will be a hit.  And who knows, maybe we'll make a match!

It's Christmas Time!!!

We made it!  We are over the hump of 60 hour work weeks and looking forward to the challenges of the New Year.  1st challenge:  drumming up business in January.  This cold winter month is notoriously slow for not only restaurants, but catering.  Everyone is trying to recover from the holidays, loose the extra weight and save a little.  Going out to eat and throwing parties are probably the last thing on people's minds.  So how do we go about this???  Anyone have any ideas??? 

Up & Running!

Whew!  As the holiday season finally starts to wind down, it has us thinking about new ways to reach out to people in the Triangle and let them know all about us.  We're starting with this blog, along with Facebook and Twitter, to see how many people out there are interested in great local food, a green mentality and the art of catering/event planning.  So, if you love any of our five restaurants, please join our blogging endeavour!
